CALL FOR CONTRIBUTED TALKS

Dear Colleagues, our preliminary announcement had an enthusiastic response, and we were able to prepare a solid program of invited speakers. We also had many expressions of interest to attend, so that we are already more than half way to reaching our maximum audience of about 70 participants. At this point, we would ask you to visit the Workshop web page http://www.arcetri.astro.it/elba09/ and do the following: 1) confirm your participation by registering; 2) submit an abstract of a contributed talk if you would like to present one (15 minutes including questions). Invited speakers are asked to submit final title and abstract of their talks by means of the same web page. Their attendance is taken for granted (!), however the early registration deadline (see below) applies to them as well. Priorities and deadlines: Abstracts will be accepted only until February 14, 2009. The SOC will select the accepted contributions soon after the deadline. Please note that only eleven contributions can be accommodated, and that there is no room for showing posters. Persons who have already expressed their interest by answering to the preliminary announcement will be guaranteed a seat (not a contributed talk!) if and only if they confirm and register through the web page before February 14, 2009. If their registration is made after that date, it will be queued together with the latecomers according to the dates when their respective registrations were made. Final acceptance will be on a first come, first served basis! We plan a third circular with the final Program (including contributed talks and round tables).
