Abstract

This report describes a possible design for the data archive envisaged for the imaging data acquired with ARNICA at the TIRGO. The archive will reside physically on CD-ROMs, and will contain technical information, reduction and calibration procedures, and documentation, as well as the raw images. We outline the structure of the CD-ROMs and provide a list of keywords for the database, together with a complete FITS header for ARNICA data.

The database, generated automatically from the information on the CD-ROMs and driven by a simple database management system, will contain all the information needed to retrieve data from the set of CD-ROMs so that archive searching can be performed on-line.
