| The Isle of Elba |
The Isle of Elba covers 224 sq km, and it is the biggest island
of the Tuscan Archipelago.
The beauty of the island offers a great variety of landscapes: a crystal clear
sea, sand beaches, beautiful gulfs, steep cliffs... and shadowy
woods.
There are small villages on the islands, from those on the sea coast shore
to those located on the heights.
A cable car takes you directly to the high peak of Mount Capanne (1019 meters).

Marciana Marina with its modern port is located on the north-west coast
of the island.
It is a charming little town on the seashore. It also has on old port, once used
as safe shelter for fishing boats and now it is a beautiful tourist landmark.
It is 18 km away from Portoferraio (main town on the island) and can be
reached by road, following panoramic shoreline scenery.
In Marciana Marina one can find travel, tourist and estate agencies, banks, handicraft shops and boutiques.
There are several lovely restaurants and typical meeting-points.
